Sensory-Friendly Time: Sensory Bottles
Activity Details
Crafters, fidgeters, and sensory-play enthusiasts ages 3 and up.
For this activity offered during our weekly Sensory-Friendly Times, we will guide Campers and their families through the project step-by-step with visual examples for each step, and there will be extra time and materials on hand to create with. Find out more about CAMP’s Sensory-Friendly programming here.
Kids pour vegetable oil, water, and then food coloring into a clear container.
Next, kids will get to add foam beads, water beads, beads, and googly eyes.
Finally, kids seal up their container tightly so that it won’t leak, and decorate the container so that they can take their DIY sensory bottle home.
You might be asking, what’s a sensory bottle? They’re a fantastic calming tool for one – just sit and breathe and watch the contents float, swirl, and move.
